Among the works the rare first edition of "Vero riparo", a renown treatise on hydraulics. Preceding this work the first collective and definitive edition of two works by Alessandro Capra that had already appeared, one in 1678 under the name Nuova architecture familiare, and the other in 1683 entitled Nuova architettura militare.   3 works in one volume, 4to (252 x 167mm). Woodcut initials and headpieces in each work (general spotting and occasional light staining and browning). "Vero riparo" with 7 woodcut folding plates, including two particularly important ones depicting the city of Cremona with modern fortifications and the true and real state of the walls of the city of Cremona towards the river Po. - "La nuova architettura" with titles with woodcut devices, double portrait of the author on the verso of leaves pigreco4 in the first volume and on verso of *6 in the second, further titles within architectural woodcut borders at the beginning of each book, 6 (of 7) folding plates (lacking the one usually bound at p. 64 of the second part, tear to the woodcut plate at page 300) - "Geometria famigliare" with woodcut title within border, engraved arms on the second page and with text pages only starting from p. 145 (lacking all the others). Contemporary boards later backed in cloth, uncut (light wear).
