A chivalrous poem in octave rhyme dedicated by the author to his patron Duke Ercole d'Este; the commentary is by Ludovico Dolce, hidden behind the pseudonym of Academico Pellegrino.   8vo (201 x 129mm). Printer's device on title and a different one full-page at end within medallion, woodcut illustrations at the beginning of each canto (minor foxing and light staining, some soiling). 18th-century quarter calf decorated in gilt, vellum corners and marbled plates (later guards, minor rubbing).
