Definitive edition in 20 cantos of the work published for the first time in 1532 in only 14 cantos, which takes up the subject of Orlando Furioso. Guazzo was a scholar and admirer of Ariosto, and he also revised an edition of the Furioso for Zoppino in 1532. 4to (215 x 150mm). Printer's device on title within a woodcut border, woodcut vignettes and initials (browning, small restorations on the lower margin of leaves F7-8, wormtrack on the lower margin of gathering Q, occasional soiling and staining). 18th-century half calf, light blue edges (light rubbing to extremities). Provenance: Barone Horace Landau (bookplate on endpaper; 1824-1903 bibliophile).
