[LEGATURA - MARIA GIUSEPPINA DI SASSONIA (1731-1767)] - L'Office de la Semaine-Sainte a l'usage de la Maison du Roy. Paris: Jacques Collombat, 1741.   A splendid binding with the arms of Marie Josephine of Saxony, mother of King Louis XVI and Dauphine of France. The dolphin surmounted by the royal crown figures among the refined rococo decorations of the binding, also adorned with sumptuous embossed, gilt and hand-coloured endpapers.   4to (215 x 138mm). Engraved frontispiece and title, woodcut headpieces and initials, text within typographical border, woodcut illustrations (browning, marginal waterstain at gatherings C-D). Contemporary morocco with the arms of Maria Giuseppina of Saxony, gilt decoration at covers with floral motifs and dolphins within a double fillet frame with lilies, gilt title and decorations with lilies and dolphins on spine, gilt decorations at dentelle, gilt and coloured endpapers (very light rubbing at corners and joints). It was not possible to find a collation, our copy is collated as follows: a8, A-2Q8, 2R6. Provenance: "ceux ou celles, quj me trouveronts sont priée de me randre a M. de Beletier.. " (manuscript annotation on endpaper).
