In the interesting dedication to Giovampaolo Orsini he justifies his effort with the "fructo e diletto" that even those who do not know classical languages can derive from reading history (DBI, 1971).   8vo (146 x 95mm). Title within woodcut border (without final blank, some staining and light foxing). Later vellum with manuscript title on spine, blue edges, decorated endpapers (lightly bowed, light wear). Provenance: few contemporary annotations.
