Title within elaborate woodcut border with portrait of the author and printer's device, woodcut initials, head-and-tail pieces, full-page woodcut illustrations at the beginning of each canto (title and a few other leaves slightly cropped at upper margin, title slightly damaged at inner margin, paper flaw not touching text on second leaf and partially touching it at C5, marginal restorations to Y2,Y7,Y8, some wormtracks sometimes touching text without compromising its legibility, some light foxing, browning and staining). Later vellum, gilt title on spine label, red speckled edges (modern front endpaper, some wear, especially to corners and front joint). Provenance: R.
