These are eclogues, songs, sonnets and translations of Mosco's Bucolics and an elegy by Propertius. Also noteworthy is the allegorical poem entitled "Amore", where the author explains his theory of divine love. The work is accompanied by an extensive commentary by Pico della Mirandola, a great friend of Benivieni.   8vo (150 x 90mm). (Light browning). 18th-century red morocco, gilt title on spine, yellow edges, gilt decorated dentelle, marbled endpapers (very light rubbing and light restoration to upper edge of the front plate and spine).
