Although it initially met with some opposition, the Pri Chodosh is one of the most frequently used commentaries on the Shulchan Oruch and is widely cited by later Achronim.   Folio (316 x 194mm). Printer's device on title, dedication in Spanish, text in Hebrew (lacking engraved frontispiece, tear at the lower corner of title, some occasional sporadic tears, light browning and staining, without final leaf possibly blank). Contemporary Dutch decorated calf with gilt lozenges within a double frame, paper label with title on spine, gilt edges (extremities rubbed, chipped and scuffed).
