Engraved frontispiece, title with printer's device, woodcut initials and tailpieces, engraved headpieces, portrait and coat of arms of Doge Giovanni Pesari engraved by Giacomo Piccini, and 43 engraved plates (lacking the final two pages of the life of Pietro Marcellino, possibly replaced due to a printing error, occasional small spots, minimal foxing). 19th-century red calf, gilt titles on spine, gilt edges, marbled endpapers (light wear at the joints and edges, slightly faded spine). Provenance: "From the library of Louis Thompson Rowe of XV Hammersmith Terrace, W. " - Henry B.H. Beaufox F.R.S - G.F. Hill (a series of bookplates on front endpaper).
