[BINDING] - Missale romanum ex decreto sacrosancti Concilii Tridentini restitutum - Rome: Tipografia della Congregazione di Propaganda Fide, 1714.   A fine copy in contemporary richly decorated red morocco, possibly attributable to the renowned bookbinder Toussaint Lhuillier, the artisan of papal bindings.   Folio (418 x 280mm). Title in red and black with a large engraved vignette, engraved initials and illustrations, some full-page (lacking frontispiece, without blank leaf i8, some foxing and browning). Contemporary red morocco, rich gilt decorations on spine and dentelles, covers with a double ribbon frame consisting of floral and zoomorphic motifs and elaborate gilt decoration in the center, endpapers in decorated paper in green and gold, marbled edges (some wear at joints, some scuffing on overs, some restorations).   The collation of our copy corresponds to the copy IT\ICCU\PA1E\000158 listed on SBN, with additional leaves added at the end.
