Modena: eredi di Bartolomeo Soliani, 1774.   A genuine and wide margined copy of this collection of poetic compositions by the major Emilian authors of the time, including Girolamo Tiraboschi (1731-1794) and Ottaviano Muratori. The statue of Francis III depicted in the large folding plate was executed by Giovanni Antonio Cybei (1706-84) and destroyed during a popular anti-Napoleonic insurrection. The engraved headpieces are also elegant and one contains the portrait of Francis III.   Folio (350 x 243mm). Elaborate engraved title, a large folding engraved plate, engraved headpieces and initials (title and following leaves soiled, a stain and a small tear at plate). Contemporary blindstamped decorated gilt paper, manuscript title on spine label (rubbed and chipped, darkened).
