Verona]: Giovanni Alberto Tumermani, 1742.   Veronese edition of "Paradiso Perduto" complete with the splendid frontispiece engraved by Zucchi after Piazzetta. The fine engraved vignettes are signed, among others, by Mella Vero, Picart, Piati, Casteau, Zignaroli, Brida, Tiepolo, Bilij and Bigeri, all engraved by Zucchi.   Folio (352 x 255mm). Engraved frontispiece, engraved vignette on title, engraved illustrations at the beginning of each book and culs-de-lampe at the end, woodcut decorations (restorations sometimes touching text or engraving in C2 and 2H2, F2 with tear touching text without compromising its legibility, inner margin of title browned, some light staining and foxing). Contemporary boards, light blue paper spine, manuscript title on spine and on light blue label on front cover, uncut (some staining). Provenance: "Della Libreria di Girolamo Panzoldo" (ownership inscription on front endpaper).
