Milan: erede di Pacifico Ponzio e Giovanni Battista Piccaglia, 1603.   Giovanni Battista Piccaglia, archiepiscopal printer from the first half of the 17th century in Milan, collected in this work three pamphlets by Panfilo Landi, Girolamo Raimondi and Fabrizio Visconti respectively dedicated to the Parthenian Academies of Rome, Naples and Milan. This volume is extremely difficult to find on the market and it is not recorded in any auction (RBH).   4to (222 x 166mm). Printer's device on title, woodcut headpieces and initials, three engraved emblems, two of which printed as titles with the date 1602 (very light browning, some very light soiling). Contemporary vellum, manuscript title on spine and modern manuscript title on rear cover (light rubbing, stain on the back cover). Provenance: early illegible manuscript annotation.
