The work would also include some engraved text leaves not present in this copy. The iconographic apparatus was made entirely by Alberto Ronco: 36 engravings depict the life of the Saint, the final 16 illustrate his miracles.   4to (255 x 192mm). Engraved title, two portraits of Carlo Borromeo and 52 engraved plates (lacking two other portraits, without engraved text leaves, first plate rebacked and restored, three initial plates and plate 34 on guards, marginal restorations to plates 32, 33, 3, 4, 7, 8 and to second portrait, waterstaining and browning). 18th-century half-calf, manuscript title on spine, red edges (light rubbing).
