[ST. ALBANS] - Il Salterio di St.Albans Ms. HS. St. god. 1. Rome: Treccani, 2007.   A reproduction of the codex created in the 12th-century in the scriptorium of St. Albans and preserved in the Dombibliothek of Hildesheim. The work, enriched by 42 miniatures, was commissioned by the Abbot of St. Albans for Christina of Markyate who had decided to dedicate her life to God. The illustrative apparatus is the work of the artist known as Alexis Master and it represents the most ancient preserved example of English Romanesque book painting.   (280 x 190mm). Copy no. 373 of 750. Detailed colour reproduction of the original codex. Blindstamped leather binding with brass clasps in a leather editorial box. With the commentary volume.
