NAYMILLER, Filippo (n.1804) - Pietro ALLODI (fl. 1859 - 1878) - Atlante di geografia universale: cronologico, storico, statistico e letterario. Milan: Pagnoni, [1867 ca.].   An interesting atlas printed in Milan but, as stated on title, sold by various booksellers in various Italian cities such as Marghieri in Naples and Levi in Trieste. The work, widely distributed, was of great importance in consolidating the image of the newly formed unitary state.   Oblong folio (450 x 530mm). Colour title, 128 leaves of which 61 plates often coloured (some restored tears to title and in some other leaves, some foxing and browning, some more pronounced tears touching the engraving or the text). Quarter-calf with gilt titles and decorations, title on label on front cover (losses and wear).
