The work consists of three dialogues that discuss general geography, winds, and astronomy, and it also announces a fourth dialogue dedicated to Alexander the Great, deferred to a later printing (Floriani, DBI). They succinctly contain all the practical knowledge of the time on navigation and were intended to be read by sailors and navigators.   8vo (150 x 95mm). Printer's device on title, woodcut decorations (small loss to inner margin of title and restoration to bottom margin, some leaves slightly detached, X2-3 with restoration to inner margin, some slight foxing and browning, waterstaining to final gatherings and a small marginal wormtrack in final gathering). Modern vellum, title on label and gilt decorations on spine, manuscript title on edges (light wear).
