[CAPPARONI, Giuseppe (ca.1800-1879)] - Cerimonie Religiose. [Rome: 1829-1830].   A collection of finely watercoloured plates depicting religious ceremonies. Almost all the plates are signed by the author and dated between 1829 and 1830. This copy belonged to Countess Anna Laetitia Pecci-Blunt, an Italian patron and collector, the niece of Pope Leo XIII. She was highly active in cultural circles, opening numerous salons, galleries, and theaters in Rome, Paris, and New York.   Oblong 4to (214 x 304mm). 81 engraved and watercoloured plates (some minor foxing and soiling). Contemporary boards with gilt title on leather label on front cover and manuscript title on spine (losses at joints and minimum wear). Provenance: Contessa Anna Laetitia Pecci-Blunt (private collection stamp on front endpaper).
