CURZIO RUFO, Quinto (I secolo) - De Rebus Gestis Alexandri Magni. Milan: Antonio Zarotto per Johannes de Legnano, 1481.   A good copy with wide margins and contemporary annotations of this elegant Milanese edition of the history of Alexander the Great. This is the third edition following the first Venetian of 1471; there is little information about the work even though we know it was originally composed of ten books. Its survival derives from a single source from which the first two books and parts five, six and ten were lost.   4to (276 x 198mm). (Some staining and soiling). Antique binding with paper boards on rear plate (most of the binding lost, lacking front cover and spine). Provenance: some contemporary annotations.
