Blanchetière of this elegant book illustrated by Kupka. A limited edition of 261 copies, of which this is n. 53 on fine imperial Japanese paper with three states of the engravings. In the present copy each illustration is present in colour in the text and in the collection of suites at end where it is also found in black and white and in colour without text; the frontispiece is reproduced in the text and in 4 different states and of the fifth illustration there are 3 additional states.   4to (286 x 197mm). Title printed in red and black, 20 illustrations including frontispiece, each also in the additional suites at the end. Brown morocco signed H. Blanchetière, plates decorated with central frames with floral motifs, richly decorated spine with 4 raised bands, splendid guards in elegant silk, original wrappers preserved, gilt edges (spine just a touch faded); preserved within matching box.
