SCARPA, Antonio (1752-1832) - Privilegio di Laurea in medicina data a Angelo Coduri di Como dall’Università di Pavia il 27 maggio 1819 sotto l’Impero di Francesco I d’Austria.   A degree signed by the renowned scientist Antonio Scarpa, Director of the Faculty of Medicine, and by Pietro Configliachi (1777-1844), scientist and physics teacher, rector of that university in the two-year period 1818-1819. There is also the degree certificate, on official paper, also signed by Prof. Antonio Scarpa which certifies that on 18 February 1819 Coduri had passed the degree exam and that he was admitted to practice the profession. Also attached is Coduri's birth certificate (8 May 1770) issued by his parish of Como.   Folio (273 x 206mm). Manuscript composed of 2 leaves of vellum. Contemporary binding with leather spine on marbled paper, marbled endpapers, lace and little box containing the red wax seal of the University of Pavia (light rubbing, especially on the spine).
