DELAUNAY, Robert (1885-1941) - Joseph DELTEIL (1894-1978) - Allo! Paris!. Paris: Editions des Quatre Chemins, [1926].   A good copy of this renowned artist's book dedicated to Paris. No. 241 of 300 on Arches paper from an edition of 365. The drawings contained in the work, several executed in cubist style, are the only original illustrations executed for a book by Robert Delaunay. "Whereas some of the lithographs are straightforward pictorial views of Paris, others, such as the Eiffel Tower and St. Séverin, are tensely Cubist in character, recalling Delaunay's paintings of these subjects in 1900-12" (Artist and the Book). "At the! Paris! represented Delaunay's most extensive involvement as a book illustrator " (Logan Collection).   4to (284 x 226mm). 20 plates protected by tissue paper (few tissue papers creased), some leaves unopened. Editorial printed wrappers protected by tissue paper (tissue paper torn, spine with minor wear, minimal stains at extremities of wrappers or in correspondence with the tears to the protective vellum).
