Lyon: Joannes Crespin, Jacopo Giunta, 1513.   A fascinating cinquecentina in elegant contemporary binding containing the writings of Duns Scotus edited by Antonio De Fantis (1460/1470-1533), theologian with Scotist and Thomist training.   8vo (160 x 107mm). Title within a woodcut border printed in red and black, Giunta's device within the frame on title and colophon, woodcut initials (small wormhole to lower margin of the first two leaves, browning, waterstaining to inner margin of the first leaves). Contemporary calf with blindstamped borders on covers, four-lobed decorations in the central field, manuscript title on spine (without ties, light rubbing and scratches). Provenance: Ex Bibliotheca Abbatie Murronensis (early ownership inscription on title).
